Richmond county is the name of the Staten Island borough, this public school was located in a Landmarked town about 2 miles away from my house. This school was built in the 1800's. 13 second long esposure, levels adjusted, contrast USM thats about it. Some neat image filtering was added because my camera is unable to take high ISO photos with little grain.

The composition is disturbingly uneven, perhaps unappealing for a historical subject. I agree that the color combination is good, but the unbalanced foliage at the sides sort of takes away the appeal.
Humm. Had to look at this several times. I'm not sure I understand the reason for the sky color. Now after the fourth visit I'm wondering if the sky was pink during sunset? I guess at first I thought the saturation was real high. I see the lights and that sure fits the challenge. I think the angle/view and perspective is a bit awkward. I think we're looking up hill>>? Anyway good luck. Hope your not pulling your hair out because I'm 100% wrong on my thinking. :)
