good representation of the challenge. I would have rather seen the fingers in front focused and the hands in the background not as focused. Also it's a little too bright in the forground. But the stop action is great and I like the idea.
Funny! Who won? Flash kinda washed out the goal posts, plus focus is on the kicker's hands. (I know this was a hard shot to get, so better score) Photo 8 Creativity 8 Games 8 total 8
Looks like a flash was used. For action shots with depth, you need more lighting than a flash. In your shot, the kicker's hands are darker than the goal posts, since the flash was not able to fill the frame in time.
I really like the idea behind this shot, reminds me of grade school and junior high. Would have liked the picture better without the shadows from the "goal" in the foreground which could have been prevented or at least minimized with more light, and also if the people playing were more of age to be playing looking at the kickers hands he is probley a little old to be playing this on a regular basis. One question why do this shot in B+W?
This seems somewhat silly to me because at least one of the participants is a married man. But who am I to judge what games people can and can't play at what age. :-) I think it would have been a little more fun if kids were playing. It's an interesting set up though. I wish you could see a different angle of the "ball" but then you wouldn't have been able to get the great first person point of view. foreground hands were a little too cose to the flash and so washed out and all three shadows take away, in my opinion, from the finished image. Hard shot to get without a flash though, so other than a different flash location I don't know what to suggest.
Like the focusing on this one (nice idea to blur the closest hands) but the harsh shadows detract a bit and the moving object isn't clearly identifiable which makes the composition a bit confusing.
I like the idea, but the lighting and shadows seem a bit harsh. As well, it seems to me that the focus ought to have been on the 'goalpost' hands rather than the 'kicker' hands.
