I see the film grain but I sure don't see granluar as fitting the challenge.

I was hoping that someone would do this well, and I think you got it! Very film noir-ish; well done.

Challenge??????????????????

I guess the granular subject is the grain of the photo. As a piece of fine art, such as a sketch it works, but as a photo, nah-h-h-h.

Doesn't really seem granular, but the image is grainy. I guess that's what you were going for.

I like this picture very much. Extra points for "Outside the box" thinking. Hope it does well. Great portrait.

this looks like you took a photograph of a woman and photoshopped it to look powdery. No so much a fan of that. sorry

I don't see how this could possibly meet the challenge. Also, your image looks really overprocessed. 1.

granular? Gritty? The photo makes me grit my teeth, but that's because I'm an ex-smoker.

Subject to be granular. Hummmm. Aside not meeting challenge, I'm not so sure as I like the abstract"ness" of the photo. Nice lighting, however.

looks like you were trying to copy grigrigirl's style here?
the image is muddy looking, though...not clear.
