Good thought, but it would have been a stronger picture for me if the sarge apple were more distinct from the "recruits" either colorwise or something to visually imply difference of rank.

Nice composition lighting focus and DOF. Not a big fan of the border and the backgroud lines where they meet on the right is distracting.
