I was walking up the avenue stuffing my face and this little scene unfolded. There was a DPC thread on tryptichs that same day so as I was editing this image, I gave the Tryptich a first try.
640px doesn't make any justice to this wonderful work. As I keep watching to this brilliant composition, I keep wishing it can grow in front of my eyes for more and more pleasure. Just love this photo. Great work Steve.
Steve this shot is simply amazing. What a great capture, I would love to see the full size, I'm sure there is some incredible detail working for you in it. Good eye!
This probably looks really great when you van view it at a larger scale. It's a great comp. It seems to tell a story. Almost like a poster for a play in Time Square. Great capture and nice job.
This is just wonderful! WOW... Perfect composition. Great eye for spotting it, and an even more kudos for pulling off such a sharp and colorful representation.
I really like how active this photo is. The segmentation adds to the feeling of an impromptu community of people whose lives only accidentally overlap.
I find this very interesting. I like all that's going on. They are tied together and tell a story. The lighting is the same - it's a continuation. I'm curious which one IS yours. hee hee
This is just superb. What a great shot of frozen time. This is almost as if you took a scene out of a movie, or better yet, a honeymooners episode. This is as unique as it gets...I miss brooklyn. Thanks for the laugh and smile.
the person with the dogs head really makes this work for me. :P
edit to say this photo reminds me of how annoying the size limits are on the site. It makes panorama crops so incredibly tiny. I would love to see a larger version of this.
I'm not a print-buying guy (would rather print my own stuff) but THIS I would buy. Excellent on so many levels for me. Is there a chance of getting a print of this?
This is one of my favorite photos that I've seen on this site. I like it a lot. It reminds me of life, friendship and culture. It's excellent. What a shot!
WOW this is really great... Very nicely done... I think it would work without the trpytech but then again it is really great the way it is...
Very nice compisition...
I like it a lot.
Great shot..this really works...it looks like a scene from a movie or a play..the hand on the mouth of the lady on the right combined with the levels create incredible interest..this really is something.
I really like this. Its just like you are there with them, soon as you look at it?
Just one thing. (for me)
The first thing that i thought, if that dog and maybe the feet behind the dog, were only just in the left frame! (or not there at all, not that this shot could be set up!)
Looking at the whole picture throws you into their conversation, but then looking at the individual frames feels like they werent actualy all there together! The dog cut in half joins the two frames just a little too much tho.
Just my uneducated opinion!
I love this, its the first pic in this style that has really meant something, and made it click for me! Thankyou.
