my sunset plan didn't work because the sun was setting at the wrong angle so I had to wake up at 5 in the morning so I can get the sunrise instead. well, just my luck, at the day of the deadline, fog was covering monterey. but i thought it seemed to work out just fine. the fog made the blueness of the background glow instead of just being the sky. all i can say is that i better get a good score on this because i had to wake up early on a sunday morning.

I love the tree sillhouettes - I dont think the right hand elements and the foreground add a lot, and the blue is just too blue! Personally I think I would have composed the shot a little further from the left - good luck
I like the composition of this shot quite a bit. The trees could be just a tad bit darker and would fit into the silhouette without ANY exceptions. IMO, you have a nice silhouette here, but you may get some comments about the blacks being a little bit blacker. Great color in the sky.
You've got such lovely and rich colours here. The composition works for me, too as both sets of left-right lines compliment each other well. My only quibble is with the border and with the left tree clipping the border. It's screaming out for space all around it. 7
Perhaps there is a way to hide that light behinde the poles of the fence? It draws the eye away from the tree. I like the light on the ground, the purplepink contrasts well with the blue. Nice subject for a silhouette, though the crop is a bit tight in the upper left.
