 Carved a heart out of the red apple and put the apples on a candle plate, shot outside with full sun, changed to black and white, overexposed contrast to entire picture.

DOF is a little too shallow here - that's what'll happen with an aperture of 2.8. Otherwise it's a nice idea, and I really like the black and white treatment.
