Suggestion if the light source was in a vertical position and it cooperated woth the shape of the edges it would give a bigger impact to this shot. Right now you see a light rectangle out of the blue. It's not corresponding to the apples shape.
I was going to do a simple apple shot like this, but I don't have a good enough camera, I feel a subject that you have so much control over should be perfect.
