 First attempt at a splash type of picture.
Did the usual. Cropped, levels (to darken the background), curves (to bring out more of the apple's colors), brightness&contrast, hue&sat, USM. Rotated at the end of the post-processing to give it a different look. Neat image, and VOILÁ!

It's a beautiful photo, but if I didn't know this challenge was about apples, I wouldn't have guessed it was one, but it's still looking very nice.
