OK my 1 and only attempt at going for brown after being inspired by the brilliant tutorial of Charliebaker This shot was taken with a russian 500mm f5.6 with a macro coller on it as i walked past this guy and his dog i shot a series of shots and this was by far the best contender for triangle challenge. The hardest part is try and think up a title that is as bad as the picture itself. If I miss the brown with this shot then it will be seriously embaressing but I am more into the humour factor here and I have no chance of winning a blue so maybe I can find sanctuary in the BROWN... so wish me luck and get those 1 votes ready because this picture REALLY SUX.

Hahahaaha Ive have never laughed so hard on this website, for its purpose this photo is genius and my lungs hurt from laughing amongst other things, thank you for your inspiration.
Thanks everyone, I been out of town so I never knew until right now if I nailed the brown.. Thanks for the 10 Mr Davidson (and someone else too) but the master tutorial on how to shoot for brown was too good.
Cheers Philip, I got a ribbon at last all be it an invisable one its a valuable asset to my portfolio..LOL
the image together with the story to it (hahaha) makes this a favoutite of mine ..also i like it when all this 'art' here is put in perspective a little every now and than
humor is a mighty weapon!
It's a so-so snapshot. I like the tri-agle afgan, rug or what ever the cloth on the floor is. The dog is out of focus, and the focal point doesn't jump out at the viewer. I gave it a 3.
I'll apologize later if I am wrong and will give a proper review of this image, but this appears to be an obvious attenpt for the "brown" ribbon. It has all the hallmark features... lousy title, ill conceived out-of-focus image and is purposely resized small.
Ok lets be honest youre probably going to come last. But heres the good news you can improve for next week, just follow these simple rules. Focus is pleasing toward the eye. Short titles rock harder than ted nugget and the third is that composition is key you have done a good job of composition just work on the others and you will be a dp winner in no time. Keep up the practice.
I see the triangles on the side walk and will acknowledge it fits the challenge. However the image is a bit small, the title is confusing and the dog is out of focus. With a slightly diffent crop and a crisper image this might have done pretty well.
No no no... there are some actual triangles in this shot. If you want to go for the brown, you have to be sure that there is no possible link to the challenge. ;-)
