First submission to the site. Captured through the bars of the tiger exhibit at the Virginia Zoo... thus outside looking in.
Taken using my ancient Canon 75-300mm 4-5.6 II at pretty much full zoom... wish I had some L glass. Minimal editing, some USM and crop to size and thats about it.

In this instance I think I might have preferred seeing the cage, but, I do still think this meets the challenge, and the clarity and lighting are very nice. Great eyes.
I take it you were outside. This is a nice portrait. I t could use a little more light from the lower right to soften the shadows from the head onto the neck and shoulder. A 6.
Although technically you must be on the outside looking in otherwise you'd be eaten, the photo doesn't give me a feeling of this quality and doesn't meet the challenge for me.
