If you were going for scary or bizarre you might have been better off cropping this in a way that removed the feathers. The light is not particularly good, as the subject (the turkey's face and palea) is somewhat in shadow and his back seems to be highlighted.
I'm having nightmares just looking at the turkey. Nicely sharp, although the feathers on the left look a little bright on my monitor-very difficult to get exactlyright, though in my limited experience.
I would be scared too if I saw this in my dreams! The image is taken too close imo or cropped too tight, would have been more effective to see more of the bird I think
This is my second go-around =) - Yikes! They're so much cuter when viewed further away!!! =) haha. Grea job!!! Excellent crop and contrast. The hot spot on his feathers on the left is a little distracting.
I would bet that a carving knife may be in his future, nice capture of this big fellow, composition is good I think I would like to see the entire red area, your exposure on his back looks a tad over exposed, your DOF is good, all that said, I do like your shot.
