The roses hanging in the background are from my garden and were brought to me as a present in the year 2000, they're called the Millenium Rose. The underside is particularly beautiful because of the yellow and red contrast. I wish I could paint but photographing this beauty is the next best thing.

Likely midday lighting giving the photo a "harsh" feel, rather than that soft, warmth of yearning to paint such beauty. Lovely composition and concept.
Imaginative and witty! How well this fits the theme! What is there to say? Beautifully composed. Interestingly stated. Quirky. Playful. I am soooo jealous of the talent you display--let it go to your head, if you will. (A two-digit score for you.)
Really sharp and an extremely attractive still-life. If anything, though, the petals at the top and on the right of the yellow rose look a little too bright, on my screen at least.
This is my second go-around =) - Excellent idea!!! Very creative. I oinly wish that the three roses in the background were either not there or more out of focus... they are a little distracting. Between teh additional roses and texture in the bricks in the background, it takes away from the details in your subject. However, I love it! Great Job!
