Used a canon 50mm f1.8, 5 second exposure. Usually sodium streetlighting and clouds are a drawback when taking pictures of the night sky (unavoidable where I live). But here they add some ambience to an otherwise plain shot of some stars. Used a tripod. Not much in the way of editing that can be done, increase saturation just makes it look like the end of the world is nigh, settled for cropping out some lense distortion near the perimeter that's all.........

you know what? I really like this shot. it is one of my favorites in the challenge. It takes daring to enter a shot like this, and I think the comp. is good, and it is different than the postcard shots we have seen 1000 times.
Can you backlight stars? Wouldn't that imply the light source was coming from behind the stars? (ie the subject). Overall there's not a lot to hold someone's attention in this shot.
Good job making your stars show up so well. Mine never look like stars, just little noise specks on the picture. These really look like stars in a night sky.
