Oooo...I like the textures and movement in this shot. The fabric of her clothes and the roughness of the wall contrast nicely. Nice deep colors and contrast. Perhaps not the best composition, but it appears you were trying to catch a performance of some kind and that can be tough.
This is a great shot. Wonderful composition and great moment captured. The bright white of the man's clothing is very effective. In terms of what would have improved it IMO - (i) A greater DOF to bring the girl into greater focus and (ii) dealing with the effects of the blue cast in girl's clothes and too dark color of the scarf. These look to me like effects coming from the girl being more in the shade relative to the man.
This is just lovely! Tone, texture, composition, movement, all wonderful. The thing that really gets me about this photo, (which may well be the cause for the title), is that it looks like the man only has 1 leg. If that is the case, then having him juxtaposed with the movement of the beautiful dancer is quite poignant, especially with the expression on his face.
On the other hand, it could be just the angle of the shot that makes it look, to me, like he has 1 leg.
Talk about leading lines!!! that red skarf is the most poignent - it leads from her hand (hand in marriage symbolism?) to her other hand but doesn't quite reach to him- He has a bit of red around his neck , ckoking on her rejection? Her red flowers and red lips complete the picture of his desire and her desirability. Wonderful!
Forgot to mention the whites for purity - he takes off his white hate and bows to her perfect white chastity (tingles with a bit of red desire on both parts)
Wow...this is beautiful!! A very emotive capture with lots of detail and movement. I adore Spanish dancing and culture, and this is just a wonderful example of what there is to love! Great capture. :o)
