Spotted this Great Horned Owl and her babies while walking on a road outside the Wildlife Refuge near Monte Vista, Colorado. I have never seen any baby owls before. These ones look so cute snuggled up with their Mom in the nest. It made me feel that same feeling again that I used to have when I was a little girl and would snuggle in bed with my Mom and Dad after I had a bad dream - so safe and warm.

Very nice. I'm not sure whether I like the camoflauge textures of the birds or whether more contrast would help. But it still captures moods well. Good job.
Owls are certainly "moody" birds, and these ones do emote very well. A nice capture. It's a bit busy, but wildlife shooting isn't exactly set up for being able to much about that :)
Got to be the top of the animal pics in this challenge. It would be good with some of the bits and pieces of twigs removed from in front of the birds. As an advanced editing I beleive this would be OK.
Although I don’t say this is a bad picture I have scored this low.
Low in my book is not extremely low, but I guess there will be other people thinking the same way I do who don’t leave a comment.
Don’t take this the wrong way, this is my own opinion, and I am trying to let you understand what some voters may think.
In my opinion this does not meet the challenge, the description of the challenge: Take a picture that captures an emotion.
I looked hard, but I don’t see an emotion. This could be my fault, but that’s the reason why I voted lower as I would normaly do.
Great pic, too bad there was so much limbs and branches in the way. If you live near there you should get some great pics as they grow and learn to fly.
