Although adolescents can certainly be moody, I don't believe that 'puberty' qualifies as a mood. A catchlight would have improved this image. As it is I can barely see a difference between his iris and his pupil.

nicely done with the rule of thirds. would like to see him waching "inside" the photo, not "outside". nice mood

Great shot and the title covers 450 moods usually experienced by teens during the course of a day. Good luck!

One gripe I have about this is the fact that Puberty itself isn't a mood ;) Tiny gripe though.. nitpickiness at its best. Fantastic focus on the face, but perhaps a little too contrasty. The darkness is a good complement to the mood, but the contrast brings out the sharpness to a point where it's almost over-sharp.

you and your subject have captured the emotions and moods of this time of life, great muted tones, expression, composition, just great. one of my favorites this challenge

good composition; eyes at the right place for rule of thirds. Good catch of teen angst.

Skin looks very odd, like he's wearing makeup but a nice character study. Title comes across as condescending though. Not sure about the dof, I think i'd have prefered much more, or much less.

good shot, a different title could have done it better justice - is "puberty" a mood?
