This is one of the best 'flower' shots of the week. I like the dark green and the way it's not cropped tightly left and top. I wish the right wasn't cropped off (petals).
a tttiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnyy bit more room on the right is wanted.. :) (and perhaps a bit more light/exposure on the leaves in the upper left to really pick up their detail)
Yellow and red flowers always work well, somehow the colors complement each other better than other colors. The olive green leaves here just boost the quality of this image. Great!
I like the muted dark shades of the leaves juxtaposed against the warm tones of the flower. Composition is also quite pleasing. However, I find my eye wandering to the leaves at the top, so it would be nicer if the focus on the leaves was less sharp than the flowers.
Great use of 3rds. Lovely colors, reds and yellows, mixed with the dark greens. The focus is just fine and the lighting is fine, maybe a bit too bright on one or two of the petals. Lovely photograph, great choice for this Challenge.
The whole picture has a yellowish tint to it. Was this intentional? If not, try using Levels or Curves in your editor to fix it. Nice placement of the flowers.
