Did you notice this is out of focus? You probably rushed the shot so the subject would not get away. But in rushing, you neglected a prime rule, make sure focus is where you want it.
really, photographs like these need to be perfectly sharp, or alternatively have the kind of motion fuzzyness that actually suggests motion. this is just boring.
This must have been a hard shot to capture! All the lizards I've ever run into move VERY quickly. However, the lizard is a bit out of focus and I think it it were clearer it would score better.
