This is my first attempt at the "pure white background" technique and I think I botched it a little. The problem is that the money was lying directly on the background and in adjusting the white level, I burned out the top edge of the bill. I also don't like the crop, but I didn't plan my setup well enough so this was the only way. But being a last minute submission, I dont have time to fix it.
I tried to apply the "minimalism" theme in several ways:
-subject uses only small portion of space
-simple photograph
-and a bit of a play-on-words (not quite the correct term) with the subject being $5.15 aka minimum wage.
Post processing was mainly just levels, unsharp mask, and a bit of selective colors.

Thats unfortunate, in CA we get 6.75, but then again we also have a higher cost of living. You should have photographed the equivilent in Yen, Euros, or shillings because there are other money ones out there.
Crisp! With the title it conveys a message, though I think the message might have been more poignent with a less-new bill and perhaps some context other than the white void.
Theres obviously some hidden meaning to your title, which I don't understand. Maybe because I'm not from the US. However the image itself is nice enough
