Thanks for the kind comments guys. I realize the link to 'moods' is a little tenuous. This was my first ever attempt at panning, I was please with the way it turned out.

Nice job. The blur around the bike rider sets the motion but the rider is in perfect focus. Good effect.

Nice capture! Not an easy shot to take, but you've done it well. And it really does express the freedom of the rider. Well done.

The moodes are schizophrenic together, perhaps a bit too busy - maybe a slightly longer shutter would help but you got low blur on the rider. Like the use of opposites / contrast. I wonder if this one would work better with the image steady and the rider blurred. Still interesting and good composition

Excellent use of panning the camera to give the sense of speed.

Great panning shot. I love the crispness of the cyclist and the blur of the couple on the bench. Good luck

nice panning shot for movement ... a litlle weak on challenge intent for moods

Not sure this evokes a mood for me... this is quite hard to achieve in an urban setting IMO. Shutter speed is a tad too slow, I'd have liked the cyclist sharper. Not bad at this speed though. Composition a little too cluttered.

Nice focus on the biker, that's go to be tough. I like the way it worked out with the bench, everything's nicely placed.

Very well panned capture. I love the balance of it too - love where the couple and the pigeons are, but I feel that the little lines around the couple's head don't belong there. I am enjoying this shot.
