Taken on top of Enchated Rock outside of Fredericksburg, Texas.
I adjusted the brightness, curves, hue, saturation, crop and USM.
**For all the commentors who mentioned it being too dark on the left side, and the spots in the sky, remember this was an open challenge where no spot editing or dodging was allowed. I prefered having a proper exposure on the clouds, and have a darker ground on non-calibrated monitors, then to blowout the clouds to bring up the shadow details.

whats up with the black spots? Are they birds? To bad you couldn't clone them out. All except for that and the left bottom being a little dark. Great shot otherwise.
A bit dark, I am not sure if it strengthens the picture or weakens it. Still there is something that this picture is lacking but it isn't beauty that is for sure.
E-Rock, I have an awesome picture of that tree as well! The rotten limbs are slowly falling off of it more and more. Would like to see the pink in the granite a little more and the white of the tree trunk a little more though, but I'm sure you lose the interest in the sky. But a very surreal picture overall!! 8
Gorgeous photo! The black specks hurt it a bit, though - you can't tell if perhaps they're birds in the distance, or if it's just debris in the camera. Great composition!
Awesome image! The colors are positively gorgeous. The warm, soft lighting on the tree is fabulous. Great composition. Meets the challenge! I like it a lot!
Gorgeous rich colors and outstanding choice of composition. Shame about the dust spots, but that's easy to clean up after the challenge. Very nicely done!
If the left side of the image could have been lightened just a hair this image would have scored higher. This darkness hides details I would have loved to see. I like hte light on the tree - pulls your eye to the tree. 8
Really nice capture. Works well for me. When I lay a rule on the horizon it's almost bang-on squared up, but there's an overall sense of lean to the left because the black area on the left is so massive. I think it would balance better if it were rotatted ccw a quarter of a degree or so. Perhaps a tad more shadow detail, but that may be a monitor issue. Strong entry.
I love the contrast between all of the colors here. The sky is such a brilliant blue, the grass so green....and when melded with the orange-brown of the dirt and slight yellow of the tree....it's lovely :-)
