I did not know what to expect when I read the title for this challenge: "minimalism". I never thought of this concept in photography terms. Yet I have to say, that this entry really shows me what minimalism could mean in photography. Brilliant!
I'm very partial to callas and you've taken an interesting shot here. I like your composition and cropping, fits the theme well, one of my favorites this challenge
Liked the photo. Liked the way it went straight up instead of side to side. Border suits the image very well. Just a little bit of noise. I gave it a 7.
I really like the narrow image with the flower centered. If you had asked me about it verbally before showing it, I think I would have predicted that it wouldn't work.
Neat enough idea, although I think shots using only the very bottom of frame are going to get a touch 'normal' by the end of this challenge :-) It's certainly well organised, and well detailed, but it lacks any greater impact for me - perhaps more careful light would have helped: you could have done more, I think, to shape and define that bloom with a soft high side-light, for instance.
