It took me a moment to see the bird. The leaves/branches/sky are quite lovely in this shot. Actually, I like his picture quite a bit, it gives the bird and info about where the bird is. But, as "minimalism", I don't know, it seems that the branches/leaves are just too much part of the story for this to entirely work. ~7

the focus on the bird seems to be off, I can only assume that you cropped down the entire image, which is why its soft. it is very busy, though you did stay on topic.
