To address some of the comments: This appears much different here than on my computer. There was a huge loss of detail when the image was resized to meet the site's requirements.
As to the comment: "This is not minimalism," how was that helpful? There were not a lot of guidelines given, which leaves things open to a lot of interpretation.
The only post processing on this was to balance the colors and bump up the contrast a little.

You have have pushed the minimalism theme a bit too far; it's impossible to have any appreciation of details. If it weren't for the title, I am not sure I could have identified what those colored dots are doing in the picutre.
The background is too busy for me too feel it meets the challenge description. If they'd been silhouetted against the sky, a cliff face, or a dam it would have made this a 'cleaner' pic and may have fit the challenge better. Also, the fishermen are a bit out of focus (which detracts from their 'stage presence' as the main subject) and your horizon is slightly tilted.
