Flower pictures have to be absolutely flawless to do anything at all on here - and this one is darned close. I wish the lighting was a bit more even on the right side, but otherwise this picture is superb. 9

I just love the lighting technique in which you have achieved. Colour, clarity and composition are just awesome. Excellent photo and GL in this weeks challenge.

Critique: Macro? Leaf cut off on the side is also a bit distracting.
Praise: Wonderful shadows and detail throughout. Black background really lets the subject stand out and be noticed. Color saturation is excellent and the lighting is very well done. Overall this is nicely done.

Don't take this wrong......IMHO this not a macro....it is a great shot. I score this a 7.

Pretty and nicely lit. But I want to see all of that rightmost petal. Also, crop out some of the empty space above.

Leave the flowers outside where they belong! I would have liked to see a subject that would naturally occur indoors.
