It seems that you live and shoot images in the heart of the "Old South" area of the country. The river area around Natchez is full of history and folklore. This image seems to capture a connection to those days with whispers of ghosts and hard living. I am enjoying your portfolio, as I have been to some of the places in your images years ago.
This capture is loaded with unusual colors that really stand out in this challenge. I love the sliver of light showing through the back wall and the diagonal lines from the door hanging on one hinge is just perfect. Great detail in the wood and the gritty feel of this is just right without going too far. This is one of my eleven 10's in this challenge. Great work!
Wow. Love the richness of the color. Composition works for me. good focus, crop DOF, POV. Can't find anything wrong. 8 but will pass again after viewing all others. Bumping to 9.
Viewing your image the question comes to mind as to how much color saturation is wanted or desirable? I love the colors of the building but perhaps the are a bit over done. I suggest that you would be the only one who truely knows the answer as you are the creator of this image..... The focus seems to be a bit extreme for my liking as well. I like the overall image because it has something to say to the viewer...or a million stories could be writen around this image.....
Nice capture. The door makes the image exciting. I like the vibrant colours, but I think the amount of sharpening makes it a bit uneasy on the eyes. Good job.
Hehehe, love your title. Is Marilyn Chambers in there??? Nice photo though. I like the composition, and the colors are refreshingly interesting for this challenge.
This is one of the few that stand out! I love the colours & composition & unlike man,y actually looks abandoned! I really like the padlock as well. I really hope you do well. 10
