I was on my way to work and thinking about this challenge, when I saw this blue pipe sticking out frm the ground. The light is from the sun rise that was just creeping over the hill side. I shot this a few ways from many directions, and at different focal lengths, but liked this one the best. The clouds looked pretty cool I thought. The low warm light really made this image pop for me, from the warm glow of the ground to the brightness of the pipe and the darkness of the clouds in the sky.

Nick - I thought that this pic was going to beat mine for sure...! Love the colour contrast, and the sky looks amazing - esp since basic editing and no dodge/burn. The "r" is as bold as they come. No excuse for "1"s. Huge depth and great image.

Really like the colours and the way this comes out. There is something about the angle that bothers me, but can't put my finger on it. Still a great shot :)
This is neat...and i really caught my eye. I love the angle you took the pictue from.. it looks awesome! I love how the letter is like bright blue, and then the sky and the ground are almost pushed into the picture at a different angle. good shot.
