Initial Impact: I like the sun in this although it is a little overexsposed. The tree is lacking in detail but is composed well.
Composition: Is good although the horizon is slightly unlevel. Level the horizon and you have a well composed image.
Sharpness: The tree is the main focal point and is in good focus however a longer DOF would improve this dramatically. See how the water is not in good crisp focus. A longer Depth of Field should put the water and waves in good focus and improve the initial impact.
Overall: Overall this is a good image. The yellow border does nothing for the photo and you can improve it a lot by getting rid of it(IMO). The horizon is unlevel and that takes a lot away from the photo. I would like to see more detail in the tree and bushes to the right.
Striking image. Good scene. Border really detracts for me (thinking postcards here!). Tree might benefit from slight sharpening, and sun area is a little overexposed (for a key compositional element).
This is a beautiful picture. It almost looks like one of those images you would see on a postcard. I love how the tree is completely black and how you can see the reflection of the sun's ligh in the water. Nice work.
This shot has appeal, but the horizon is a bit unlevel and the color could be more vibrant. The silhouette of the tree is very nice, and the composition works nicely.
