I don't think this carries the theme of the challenge well. Had you included some sort of human interaction with the textbook your photo might have persuaded me that the study of applied mathmatics could incite boredom....

Your photo definetely lacks imagination and creativity. Did you bother at all in coming up with a concept or a subject to the challenge? Apparently not. Hope you use more imagination on your next susmissions.
