This is a good example of why entering late on Sunday evening, from a laptop, after half a bottle of wine is a bad move. It looked sharp to my eye then, but it was very obvious on Monday morning that it wasn't and, as commenters pointed out, it really needs to be sharp.
Great idea but a detailed study of a textured subject like this cries out for sharp, SHARP focus and contrasting tones that just leap off the monitor. This image doesn't quite get there.
As already mentioned in person, needs to be much sharper in focus with a touch more contrast too. But I really do like the abstract nature and texture that you almost have here.
