This is such a wonderful picture, and all the more amazing for making a top 10 finish with your first entry! I congratulate you. Are you familiar with the USM function in Photoshop? (I think it's in Elements too). USM = Unsharp Mask, and it can help very much in bringing out detail in slightly fuzzy photos. Most digital pictures need a bit of sharpening anyway. PM me if you're interested, and I can go into a bit more detail. I think that if this were just a bit sharper it would have finished even higher. Good luck in the next challenge!
Beautiful composition. The undersides of the roads leave an overall dark feeling to the photo, but make the contrast with the greenery and blue sky more striking. Very expressive image!
