All of the comments have been helpfull. The shot was taken in a hurry although thats no excuse. Everyone seems generally to be making the same point, cut out the ground. thanks
This would have looked better without being able to see the land, I would have cropped this 3/4 of the way down from the top as the greenery draws me down instead of looking at the intricacy of the overhead power cables.
I think you could have caught these lines from a better angle, preferably (at least in my opinion) without the ground view. Its not so much distracting is it is uninteresting. Know what I mean?
too many! I'd hate to live there. The focus is sharp but there is no focus for the viewer. I have no place to 'rest my eyes.' Its fits the challenge but doesn't really go much beyond that. I have no sense of the photographer or why he would take the picture. No emotional impact. No investment.
I thought about doing power lines for this challenge but was unable to find/capture a compelling shot. (chopped off towers, crossing lines, line shake, good contrast, etc.) I’m seeing some of these challenges in your shot too.
