That's Troy in the top hat, and like the picture, we share grand adventures now and then, this was one of them. About a couple of meters away from that site is where we found a maggot-invested dead deer attached to a rope.
When these pictures were taken I got home and put in my camera chip... And then the flash-card users biggest fear appeared in a tiny windows-window... "UNFORMATTED CARD, YOUR SCREWED NOW!!!"
So anyway, after being mad for awhile and searching the net for solutions, I came across this program that is able to save your pictures from an unformatted card. I guess I was lucky because almost all of my pictures were okay...
The moral of the story?
Don't go anywhere near
where you found a dead deer.

Congratulations on your top 20 finish. Another image which impressed me because this friendship images sinks the concept into darkness and hence into our subconscious leaving a great feeling.
like the background a lot and the dark foreground is wonderful. but i'm distracted... i keep wondering how abe lincoln got in your photo. otherwise perfect.
Evokes "Bridge to Terebithia" in my imagination. I love the silhouetted images at sunset. The boy's tophat is a cool idea. The jacket/pants on the girl takes away from her feminine mystique. A girls bonnet and dress, or big boots and fishing pole, would evoke more imagination of where these two are heading, what kind of adventure.
This is a really nice shot. I love all the lines seen in this image. I also like the fact that the subjects are dark but they stand out because of all the beautiful color in the background. Nice shot.
