 Used a polarizing filter to capture this one at dusk. Adjusted levels, sharpened, B/W. Also used burn and dodge on grass in front and burned the shadow in the background to make it stand out more.

I like the feathery look of the grass. I like the contrast on the left hand tree between light and dark. Was this a warm winters day. 5

I like the composition, but feel that a little extra USM might bring out a bit of extra sharpness and contrast.

Having spent a little time reading up on Ansel and looking through his work I now appreciate the 'style' more than I did for my own entry! (so I screwed up a little!)

This entry however is very much along the right lines, excellent work.

The crop feels too tight to me, with both the base and tip of the foreground tree chopped off.
