to me this is more of a black and white than a light color on white background as the challenge suggested.

White bark can be very drammatic, so this was a choice of subject with much aesthetic potential. Unfortunately the twigs and leaves in this shot are distracting. Nor do the shapes of these trunks really draw us in - especially since they fail to set up strong leading lines, but rather serve to chop up the negative space.

Colors are intersting, shapes seem sort of random. Where is the focal point here? Are there leading lines that point towards it?

I have two problems with this picture....What was being focused on, and the bacround looks grey not white.
