This one was tougher than it looks. Alphabits cereal apparently isn't sold everywhere and I had to drive 30 minutes away to find it. I went through the entire box one letter at a time to find the best shapes, and carved the question mark out of a malformed R.
Shot with two AlienBees monolights and umbrellas. The reflections in the spoon were a royal pain, but I think this was the best compromise between all black and all white.
Processing was fairly minimal- mostly cloning out stray dust specks and minor reflections. Also USM, slight Levels and some saturation tweaks. I lightened the midtones around the fingers, too.

if you coulda pulled off the letters floating in milk, on the spoon, that woulda killed the competition for me (and resolved the reflection issue!) :-)
I did shoot versions without the orange juice, but I felt that it completed the breakfast scene.
The tablecloth was brighter, but I burned in the pattern... and I really shouldn't have. Oops.
A few people mentioned the absence of milk. The only two parts of this campaign that I've ever seen are the milk mustaches and funny scenes that lack milk where you'd normally have it (usually TV).
well - we used the same theme....
when i voted this photo - i thought it lacked because there is no milk in it, and that it is pretty busy. voted a 7.
every 'Got Milk' ad i have seen has had milk shown
Returning for comment. Very cute--I can see this as a billboard. Here's an example where I really like the centric design. I suspect I know who's shot this is, but I won't guess now in case I'm wrong! Bumping up!
My evaluation method of this challenge is as follows:
1. Did you catch my eye while I was driving by? Yes.
2. If I didn't catch the text while I was driving, did you intrigue me enough to look for this billboard again? Yes.
3. Did you sell your stuff to me? Yes.
4. Extra thoughts: Funny and catching. I like the idea and that would probably make me look for this kind of cereals in the store.
I don't like the orange juice there and I think this photo could use some more PP (7)
ok, i am voting this challenge in 2 passes. in this pass, you will get a partial comment and a score. then i will come back to comment again. if you have any problem whatsoever with this comment, pm me and let me know. otherwise, take it with a grain of salt...i'm not trying to be a know-it-all, i'm just explaining where i'm coming from in voting this challenge. and, if this comment is NOT helpful (of if you think i'm full of $#!+), don't mark it helpful.
billboards are a science unto themselves. a lot of research has gone into determining just how much information a person can digest and retain in specific time spans. they use this information to develop formulas for determining the number of words and letters to use on billboards, as well as their sizes. they also determine the size and number of visual elements to include.
the graphics/photograph on a billboard are designed to get the point across in a moment. on the road, a driver will have less time with a billboard than a voter will give your image. this is a key element in the challenge: composing a shot that will get its point across quickly and succintly. along those lines, a strong composition will probably have few details and make strong use of negative space.

nice shot! not sure if the orange juice adds or distracts, but i guess it rounds out the image. only nit that i have is the light part of the reflection at the top of the spoon. all the same, you probably know a lot more about billboard layout than i do, but, that's the beauty of these challenges, isn't it, not knowing whose image you're commenting on ;-)
i'll be SHOCKED not to see this on the front page, good luck!
Love the cereal in the spoon. Really works, and it's easy to make out. I would have preferred the background be a little brighter, but, this is a great photo the way it is. If it were mine, I'd be really happy with it.
