Challenge: Light On White (Basic Editing III)
Camera: Canon EOS-300D Rebel
Location: Home Studio
Date: Feb 27, 2005
Aperture: 1.8
ISO: 100
Shutter: 549 seconds
Galleries: Digital Art, Traditional Art
Date Uploaded: Feb 27, 2005

This was a 549 second exposure. The beachball has glow in the dark stars on it. I used a white LED for 300 seconds to provide ambient light for the white background. Custom white balance was set to the led against the background.

There has been no editing done to this photo. What I shot is what you got.

Well now I know what not to do. This was a stretch for me as I usually
do dark backgrounds. I hope this challenge comes around again so I can
apply what I learned. I would like to thank those folks who left comments
and please feel free to leave more. We're here to teach and learn, right?

Thanks,

interesting glow... the green cast does not do it for me. the subject would have done better further away from the background and if the background wasn't so wrinkled

Good idea but I would have changed the background.

This would look better if the background were more white...seems very gray in the photo.

This shade of green is too antithetical with the cute huggie sensibility of a bear.
