 The only thing that came to mind when I thought of the topic "from above"

Wineglases, stacked in a pyramid in my kitchen. Lit by a 500 watt tungsten bulb, diffused with umbrella.

The delightful interplay of light here would be even more interesting on a background other that white, I feel. Still, nice work.

It bugs me that this isn't taken absolutely vertically - just really close to it. Really interesting shot, but something so form-al for me demands to be symmetrical. Lots of good things though: DOF, focus, light, exposure ...

Bang-on centre POV, excellent shot straight down the glass. Real sense of depth here, I like the dashes of colour in the centre of what is otherwise a monochromatic picture. Very good, 8.
