This has a nice antique feel to it. Nice focus, though I wish more of the instrument were visible, maybe zoom out a bit and include the mouthpiece (as a separate object--keeping with the disassembled look)
This doesn't seem to be doing too great of a job at selling the sax (or whatever it may be). I think a fuller shot of instrument, or even the instrument being played would work better.
IMO, macro photography works much better when it's sharp throughout, or at least the entire foreground is within the DOF. The highlight in the foreground draws my eye right to the out of focus part of the bell.
It's a very good picture, but to be honest I don't really see it as an advertisement because it doesn't make me feel like buying, listening or making music.
