Well, this challenge was a real eye-opener for me, and I’ve been humbled by the experience.
I chose to approach this challenge from a metaphorical perspective and failed badly. I’ve come to understand, now, that this site approaches assignments quite literally. Whether I package future challenges into that mindset remains to be seen.
To boot, my submission was poor technically and compositionally; in my eagerness to participate in the challenge, I just didn’t want to admit that.
Despite the abysmally low rating this submission earned, I still emerged from this competition as a winner because of the lessons learned.
Too conceptual - not sure what you photographed. The bottom left heart has a cartoonish appearance (lined up with wrinkles - looks like running heart bumping another.) Uncomfortable balance of meaning - softly tender or a comedic view of love?
