This was one of my favourites from the challenge and I think it deserved to place much higher. Sounds like some thought it wasn't obvious enough fit to the challenge.

I would crop a little more closer to the pier. Just left and right. Don't mess with the top because you would lose some beautiful clouds and how it is brighter. 10

While I like the perspective view of this image, as a viewer I can't tell that the structure at the end of the pier is new.

I really like the serenity you captured by the excellent use of negative space & a pallete of greys. I think you rely too much on the title to relate it to the challenge, but that doesn't make this any less of a great photo. 8

This has beautiful depth - reminds me of another shot I really liked here called Cape Fear. I wouldn't know that the pier was new if the title didn't tell me so, but otherwise this gets a good score and tons of admiration.

good job, nice tones and lighting. stange spot on left about level with roof line but that could always be cloned out in the non challenge version.
