 It was overcast, cold, windy and rainy. Tornado and flash flood warnings were posted. But I had driven about two hours to get there so I was going to take some pictures. I saw snow geese and tundra swans but too far away to shoot. A raccoon was practically posing when first spotted but ran away as soon as I slowed the car. Finally, when I was on my way out, I saw this Great Blue Heron all hunkered down. This was my best shot of the day.

Nice study Harv. Great job of showing the habitat by including the grasses, berries and water. Beautiful, subtle colors in the feathers too.
