We spent over an hour following this leopard through the bush. The only thing we saw during that time were fleeting glimpses of spots. Finally, right before giving up, upon rounding a corner, we found the leopard sitting on top of this anthill. He let me take a few shots, and then he was gone again. Shot with a 400 mm lens (=600 mm with 1.5 mag factor of D60).

oh, wow-ild! most excellent image. i think this would be somewhat discomforting had the stare been directed at the camera. this baby looks all business. great bokeh! i also like how the foreground seems to offer a small sense of protection, even though we know we're just kidding ourselves about that. great composition. hope this gets the attention it deserves, and that it doesn't get lost in the shuffle of this huge challenge!
National Geographic quality...Nicely composed and like the fact that you got some of the surroundings and didn't simply zoom all out on the animal. Great DOF. Well done.
Awsome shot! I really hope this is in the wild (Botswana? cool!), but more likely in a zoo setting (yes, I am suspecting you of lieing in your title). Nice sharp focus, great composition.
