This is nice and there are two ways to accomplish it. Well actually three ways. First, a simple time exposre and then clicking the light on. Second, another time exposure but allowing the flash to go off and while the shutter is open clicking on the light. Third by using a manual strobe. You begin the exposure, trigger the strobe and while shutter is open click on the light. Done with a flash or stobe gives better color satutarion. Regardless, you have the principle down.
