This photo was taken at night through a chain-link fence on a freeway overpass. I waved the camera around while pointed at the cars below for the entire 30 second exposure. In Photoshop, I selected and cropped about 1/5 of the entire shot, ran through Noiseware, resized, sharpened, and added a border.
I've taken photos before where I moved the camera over a campfire to create an abstract background, and then wrote my name using a full moon. That's what I really wanted to do for this challenge but didn't get the chance.

seems like lots of other photographers are playing around with this concept...but this particular shot really has a "completed" art work feel to it; whereas a lot of the others seem incomplete or haphazard.
I'm amazed i didn't comment on this; I gave it a 10. Jackson Pollock with a light pen, is how it looked to me, but the sheer depth of it is palpable. I was surprised it didn't score much higher...
this is beautiful. how many shots did it take to get this keeper?
This was the only photo I took like this. The other shots were long exposures of car headlights and taillights taken with a tripod. This photo was taken near my submission for the Movie challenge.
Nice technique. Makes for good abstract photo. Although less is often more. I would have cropped the image in half - the left half is more interesting. You can actually have several different images out of this single one.
Wow I like this one. I doubt I will vote on this challenge, however however I still felt like this shot deserved a comment. This is new and creative. This has a high resemblance of paint on a canvas. This by no treatch even resembles photography. Definately fits and exceed the challenge Keep up the great work!!
