Thanks, the lens was a nikon 70-300mm zoom at the full 300. Square crop seemed better and removed a distraction that would have been difficult to clone out.
beautiful shot. you have some wonderful bird shots - this 'expression' is a truly great capture.. almost like it heard something over its shoulder (you?) and turned to look. what lens did you use on these shots?
