I can't find any technical nits: nice use of backlighting and aperature size to make the limb stand out from the background. Compositionally, the image doesn't do much for me. The tones of the branch blend with the tones in the background. Nothing really pulls my eye away from the specular lights on the thorns. The red tip is nicely placed, but again, not saturated enough to demand attention. The black blur in the background, angainst the highlighted tan, pulls the eye more.
A very good specimen that utilizes bokeh without hitting in the face with rings, blobs and eye floaters. This is a subject (the thorns) that is allowe to sing while the background supports like all good backgrounds, in an unobtrusive manner. Bumping up.
Crystal clear focus on the stem with minimal blow outs from the sun, you have done well getting this image. I just feel there is to much stem, maybe you could try re-croping it with the tip of the stem in the bottom right third leaving more negative space in the middle and top thirds.
