 Used curves to blacken an already dark backgound.
Post involved slight exposure and shadows adjustments in ACR and a crop, curves adjustment and sharpening.

The caterpillar makes this picture. He(?)is a subtle addition that is not overly noticeable at first. I too like the contrast and the composition. Rated it an 8.
