Decided to revisit Mauna Kea, Hawaii's largest mountain/dorment volcano. It's a great photo place.As the moon was rising, the colors of the setting sun turned the hill red, giving it the martian appearence. Really lucky shot! The small structure at the hill's top is an ancient Hawaiian monument representing the mountains sumit.
Really wish we could edit more, I wanted to get rid of the noise in the sky aswell as some other annoyances. Enhanced image with contrast and saturation aswell as sharpened it a little.

I really like this - the colors, the curve of the horizon, and the full moon. Curious about what that is at the top of the hill, though. I can see a little graininess, but it's not at all disturbing.
it's definitely visually interesting, but it may have been just a teensy bit better if you had panned right a bit, maybe with the moon equidistant from the top and right edges. and what's that crazy thing on top of the hill?
